Movement Standards

Power Cleans
Setup / Starting Position
• The barbell begins on the ground.
Rep Standard
• The barbell is lifted from the ground to the front rack position in one motion.
• The athlete must receive the bar above a squat — hip crease must remain above the knee (power position).
• Rep is credited when the athlete reaches a fully upright position with the bar in the front rack, hips and knees fully extended.
No-Rep Criteria
• Hip crease drops below the knee at any point during the catch — this constitutes a squat clean.
• Hips or knees are not fully extended at the top.
• Bar does not reach the front rack position (shoulders, with elbows in front of the bar).

Burpee Box Jump Overs
Setup / Starting Position
• Athletes begin on one side of the box.
Rep Standard
• Rep begins with the athlete touching their chest and thighs to the ground on one side of the box.
• Athlete jumps over on top of the box — there is no requirement to stand tall on top of the box.
• Two-foot takeoff is required.
• Only the athlete's feet may touch the box.
• Once both feet have contacted the top of the box, the athlete must step down to the other side — jumping down is not permitted.

No-Rep Criteria
• Chest and thighs do not both contact the ground at the start of the rep.
