3, 2, 1, Go… Athlete will begin the prescribed number of double unders. Once complete, they will move to the dumbbell, and lunge 25’ down the floor with the dumbbell in the overhead position.
Once the athlete has crossed the 25’ mark, they will set the dumbbell down on the turf and begin 20 dumbbell facing burpees over the dumbbell. Once all 20 burpees are complete, the athlete will return the dumbbell to the overhead position and lunge another 25’ towards the start mat.
They may then begin round 2. Three total rounds will be completed with time counted when the athlete crosses the finish line onto their start mat.
Movement Standards:
Double Under
Rep Standard
• The jump rope must pass completely under the athlete's feet twice per jump.
• Rep is credited each time the rope completes two full passes under the feet in a single jump.
No-Rep Criteria
• Rope passes under the feet only once — counts as a single under, not a double under.
• Rope catches on the feet or body before completing two passes.
Single Dumbbell Overhead Walking Lunge
Setup / Starting Position
• One dumbbell is held overhead for the duration of the lunge.
• A full grip around the handle of the dumbbell must be maintained — resting the head of the dumbbell in the hand is not allowed.
• The free hand and arm may not be used for support or contact with the body during the rep.
Rep Standard
• The athlete’s knee must contact the floor on each rep
• Rep is credited when the athlete completes a full lunge step and returns to full hip and knee extension at the top.
• It is not required to touch the trailing foot as long as the athlete comes to a full, upright standing position with the knees, hips and shoulders in line.
No-Rep Criteria
• Dumbbell lowered from overhead before reaching full extension.
• Grip not maintained around the handle — head of dumbbell resting in the palm.
• Hips or knees not fully extended at the top of the rep
Dumbbell facing burpees
Setup / Starting Position
• Dumbbell(s) are placed on the ground. Athlete begins facing the dumbbell(s).
Rep Standard
• Athlete performs a burpee with chest and thighs contacting the ground at the bottom.
• Athlete jumps or steps up and jumps over the dumbbell(s). A two footed take off is not required, however both feet must be in the air at the same time for the rep to count
• Rep is credited when the athlete lands on the opposite side of the dumbbell with both feet.
• Athlete turns to face the dumbbell and begins the next rep.
No-Rep Criteria
• Both the chest and thighs do not contact the ground at the bottom of the burpee.
• Athletes do not clear the dumbbell with both feet.
• Athletes do not face the dumbbell at the start of each rep.
